Challenge

Make a 2D platformer game with a simple core mechanic. There must be a progression in difficulty level.

Solution

BlobbyBrawl is a 2D platformer where you are moving by using recoil. The player can punch and aim by using the mouse, and that punch has recoil and does damage to enemies. The player also has a punch that only does damage to make it easier to hit targets. Your goal in the game is to make it to the end of the level and to defeat all of the slime monsters.

I really wanted to make a game where you are not moving traditionally (WASD). My goal with this game was to make a unique experience for the players. So I began generating different ideas…
